It seems to me that we live in a society where many of its members feel entitled to one thing or another. They feel that the world or that society owes them something. People feel entitled to getting respect, honor, valor, or privilege, but what have they done to deserve these things.

Shedding Light

A wonderful, hardworking, funny, fair, and kindhearted man passed away on September 15, 2021. That man was my grandpa, Billy E. McElroy. Technically, he was my great-grandpa, but — although he was certainly great — he was always just grandpa.

Hypocrisy doesn't work

Dear Editor: As parents of nine children, my wife and I fully understood the importance of living the rules we imposed on our children. Hypocrisy doesn't work within the family structure. This is true within free societies.

Laughter. Isn’t it the best? A good laugh just lifts your spirits, puts a smile on your face and makes the stresses of the day melt away for a spell. This past weekend my Fiancé had her two grandchildren up for a visit and the time was great.

N.M. Cannabis Recreational Act Dear Editor: As I read the Cibola Citizen on September 15, 2021, I was somewhat surprised to learn of a proposed groundbreaking for Bright Green Corporation's marijuana growth and research facility on the 5th of October 2021.
