The new norm: …a magic Christmas tree!

It is approaching Christmas, and Evelyn and I contemplated going to the forest on what had become an annual/ritual trip to cut a Christmas tree for our home. We debated, hemmed and hawed and finally decided to purchase an artificial tree.

Remembering Pearl Harbor

Dear Editor; We honor and remember the 2,403 Americans who lost their lives during a surprise Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on December 7, 1941. On this day, 79 years ago, the United States lost 2,008 sailors, 218 soldiers and airmen, 109 marines and 68 civilians.

Maybe you need to talk to someone

As we enter the Holiday season, it is important to remember to be grateful for everything we can be thankful for. Many people love Thanksgiving because it is a time to focus on giving thanks, loving our friends and family, and settling into the fall and winter seasons.

Facts, not nonsense

Dear Editor; Representative Alcon is fighting for everyday New Mexicans. His opponents rely on nonsense. I was disappointed to read the letter to the editor published in last week’s paper criticizing Representative Eliseo Alcon.
