Fire Restrictions in Place at Bluewater Lake CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. - BLUEWATER LAKE – This week finally looked and felt like spring fishing at Bluewater Lake.After a quieter stretch earlier this month, multiple reports came in of successful trout catches – along with one standout tiger muskie.

Lady Hornets win division title at Ball Out Tournament

GRANTS, N.M. - A local group of Los Alamitos Middle School students brought home a championship this month after the Lady Hornets 7th grade girls basketball team finished first in its division at the Ball Out Tournament in Bernalillo.

Lady Hawks Fall to Trojans

GRANTS, N.M. - A great run for 1st year head coach Jolynn Martinez and her Lady Hawks came to an end at the Rio Rancho Events Center last Thursday when the Mesa Vista Trojans defeated them 49-28 in the NUSENDA Credit Union 2A girls semi-final game.

Cibola County Sports Update

GRANTS, N.M. - The Grants High School Ladies Tennis Team is currently 2-4 after a tournament at Piedra Vista where they placed 5th. In that tournament they squared off with Espanola where they lost 8-0.In the Espanola match number 1 Kylee Sandoval was defeated by Gabriela Fulgenzi 6-0, 6-0.

GRANTS, N.M. - The Grants High School Baseball Team is currently 4-4 after splitting with Los Alamos in a double header last week, losing the first game 5-6 and winning the second game 4-4.“We are still trying to get things situated with the line up,” said GHS head baseball coach Mike Furbee.
