GRANTS, N.M. “My thoughts remain unchanged,” said Lady Hawks girls basketball head coach Jolynn Martinez as she was thinking out loud a few days ago about the upcoming game against Clayton in the second round of the 2A Nusenda state girls’ basketball tournament.

Senior Coudy Melonas,2, of the GHS boys basketball team took one of his last shots as a high school senior last Saturday at Highland High School in the first round of the Nusenda 4A boys state basketball tournament. The Pirates lost that game to the number 1 ranked Hornets by a score of 76-31 ending this years season for them. GRANTS, N.M. - The Grants High School boys basketball team received a 15th seed to the NUSENDA boys 4A state basketball tournament and will travel this Saturday to play district rival and the number one seeded team the Highland Hornets (234, 8-0).
