13th Ranked Pirates Starting Tough District Season

GRANTS, N.M. - It seems it was not that long ago it was 70 degrees and Cibola students were trickor- treating. Fast-forward, we are not entering district play in basketball, though some days do feel like 70 degrees still.

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. - Winter fishing continued across Cibola County during the Jan. 13–20 period, with Bluewater Lake remaining under a boating closure due to ice at the ramp, while Grants’ Riverwalk Pond received another trout stocking to keep intown fishing opportunities fresh.

GRANTS, N.M. - The Grants High School Pirates went 2-1 at the 82nd Gallup Invitational and then took a 77-68 loss against the second ranked team in 4A, Hope Christian on January 11. When the dust cleared on a tough schedule, the Pirates ended up ranked 10th in 4A according to the Maxpreps.
