In other sports the lady Pirates volleyball team is 3-0 after defeating Shiprock (3-0) and Aztec (3-0) this in recent games. They play Kirtland Central on Tuesday, September 7th for their next game against Kirtland Central (3-2).

Pirates romp Bengals, 40-8

The GHS Pirates rowed the boat heartily as they were able to easily defeat I-40 rival, the Gallup Bengals, by a score of 40-8 and the Route 66 traveling trophy will stay in Grants for another season.

Capital Jags pounce on Pirates

The Pirates, despite scoring first, lost their season opener against the 5-A Capital Jaguars, 55-20. “There is a lot of good that came from this Capital game,” said GHS Head Coach Brandon Hernandez. “Obviously we have a lot to clean up; however, we competed to the very end.

GRANTS, N.M. - Last Saturday, July 24, Grants High School’s Tristian Martinez inked a scholarship deal with Wayland Baptist University. Martinez is a 2021 Grants High School graduate and two-time New Mexico State Champion in Wrestling.

BATON ROUGE, LA. – LSU Women's Tennis senior Paris Corley was named to the 2021 ITA Singles All-American team, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced. "We can't be prouder of Paris ending her time here with this honor," co-head coach Michael Sell said.
