DALLAS – Getting the job done on and off the field. Following an academic year in which the program recorded a 2.998 combined grade-point average to lead all nine institutions in Conference USA, the program was recognized as the Sport Academic Award honoree for football.

Beast Mode! The GHS football team is implementing a weekly award system, the Angry Jack Beast of the Week Award. Gary Chavez was the first recipient of that award. Former softball players suited up and dusted off their gloves and bats as they played an alumni game last weekend.The theme of the event, “Once a Pirate always a Pirate,” brought the former players, current players and fans together to reminisce and enjoy the sport of softball.
