GRANTS, N.M. Sports are starting to cook a bit as the school year gets well underway.The Grants High School football team was on a bye last week and is preparing to play Rio Grande High School this Friday, September 11 at home. The Ravens come in with a (0-3,0-1) record.

Fun Run Brings New Life to Coyote del Malpais

GRANTS, N.M. – Runners, walkers, bicyclists and even a few fourlegged participants took to Coyote del Malpais Golf Course Aug. 29 for a community fun run organized by Grants Recreation.

Pirate Soccer Stuns Gallup

GRANTS, N.M. - The Grants High School Girls’ Soccer Team had a very exciting game on Saturday, August 30, their last of a tournament in Rehoboth.The Lady Pirates were facing Gallup, a team they had scrimmaged earlier this season, losing 3-0. This game, however, had a very different turnout.

GHS Volleyball Keeps Grinding, Growing

GRANTS, N.M. - The Grants Lady Pirates varsity volleyball team participated in the Four Corners volleyball tournament in Farmington, New Mexico, over the weekend, showcasing some impressive performances.

New Coach Brings Excitement, Optimism

GRANTS, N.M. - The Lady Pirates have one win out of three games so far this season, however a closer look at the games shows that they are keeping pace with their opponents.In their first game against Bloomfield they kept up but came up short just one game finishing with the score 3-2.

GRANTS, N.M. - On Friday, August 28th the 8thranked Grants football played in its first home game of the season against the 7th-ranked Valencia Jaguars.The Pirates came into this game 1-0 beating Miyamura the previous week 28-0.
