Diego Lopez, EditorGRANTS, N.M. - The Los Alamitos Middle School 7th-grade volleyball team captured 1st place at the Eagle Ridge Tournament, capping a standout weekend of disciplined play and teamfirst energy.
The Grants High School Pirates handily defeated the Espanola Sundevils 54-0 last week to improve to 31. They will host Kirtland Central (1-3) this Friday at the Port of the Pirates in their next game. Franklin Romero - CC

GRANTS, N.M. - The fourth game of the season for the Grants High School Pirates was almost over as fast as it started, however, mother nature had a thing or two to say about that. A mini tornado, hail and lightning postponed the game after the Pirates went up 26 in the first quarter.

GRANTS - NM The Pirates earned their second “W” of the season after defeating high scoring Dexter on the road this past weekend.“The defense rose to the challenge,” said GHS head football coach Steve Brown.
