Shedding Light

Kylie Garcia During the past week, I did a bit of reflecting. I started thinking about my high school days, specifically my journey with mathematics in high school. I always did a decent job in my math classes prior to high school, and I was in Honors Algebra my freshman year.

Grateful for community

Dear editor, Over many years Continental Divide Electrical Co-Op has provided affordable power to our communities. Continental Divide has also given back to the City of Grants in many generous ways. They have looked upon Grants as a partner and have always treated us as such.

State of Affairs

In 2019 I wrote about the New Cold War, how the Communist Party of China was actively working to undermine American strength and influence in the South China Sea, on its borders and in international organizations like the United Nations and OTAN.

I See Potential

Every once in a while, I decide to take a drive around Grants. Sometimes for work, sometimes for fun, but each time I do, I am surprised by the buildings or parts of town that I have never seen before. I have lived in Grants all of my life, and yet there are parts of the area I am still discovering.

The world we live in

The past few decades have really changed the world we live in. Society is no longer what it used to be. It worse than ever before and the current stream of events only seem to indicate that things are going to get far worse before they get better.

State of Affairs

The American Revolution was fought and won by Patriots, people who had nothing to lose but their lives. Patriots came in all forms, men and women – often, we forget the importance women played in the American Revolution, the role they have historically played as champions of society and freedom.

The art of giving is a very special act to bestow on another person, or entity. We are coming into the season where most folks begin this giving tradition during the Christmas season. However, giving can be done every single day of the year and it should be.
