Op-Ed

For the first time in the Cibola Citizen’s history, we are running out of bundles of newspaper. The price will remain the same, $1, but please be patient with us when we don’t have any extra bundles for sale.

I See Potential

Every once in a while, I decide to take a drive around Grants. Sometimes for work, sometimes for fun, but each time I do, I am surprised by the buildings or parts of town that I have never seen before. I have lived in Grants all of my life, and yet there are parts of the area I am still discovering.

The world we live in

The past few decades have really changed the world we live in. Society is no longer what it used to be. It worse than ever before and the current stream of events only seem to indicate that things are going to get far worse before they get better.

State of Affairs

The American Revolution was fought and won by Patriots, people who had nothing to lose but their lives. Patriots came in all forms, men and women – often, we forget the importance women played in the American Revolution, the role they have historically played as champions of society and freedom.

Letters to the Editor

It’s time to replace the Grants City Council Dear Editor: I think I've finally had it. The Grants City Council is worthless and needs to go. Where is the leadership?

Vulnerable Rep. Yvette Herrell votes to protect critical Jan. 6th witness and white nationalist Steve Bannon

“All hell is going to break loose tomorrow.” That’s what white nationalist and key witness Steve Bannon said on his far-right podcast just hours before a violent mob stormed the U.S. Capitol during the deadly January 6 insurrection.

Limited Potential

This week is Red Ribbon Week. According to www.redribbon.org, Red Ribbon Week is “the nation’s largest and longest-running drug-use prevention campaign.”

Support moving in the right direction

Dear Editor: After being elected Cibola County Commissioner for District 4 five years ago, I had no idea the financial problems our county was in. The Commission was faced with some very hard decisions to get our county back on track.

Gloom and doom

Dear Editor: Well winter is upon us, and I hope everyone has gotten their homes ready for the upcoming weather.
