Scholarship Night at GHS

GRANTS, NM – On May 3, Grants High School honored its graduating seniors that have earned scholarships. The scholarship was an honor of local students who earned the awards from local businesses.

Zuni Man Guilty of Voluntary Manslaughter

ZUNI PUEBLO – On May 4, Zuni Pueblo man Brian Wallace pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter. Wallace will remain in custody until his sentencing which has not been scheduled.

Grants Police Department Using New Technology to Fight Crime’

The Grants Police Department will be strategically setting up several Flock Safety cameras throughout the City of Grants. Flock Safety cameras are license plate recognition cameras that take still photos that focus solely on a vehicle and ensure a clear view of the license plate.

Acoma Man Sentenced to Five Years for Sexual Abuse

ACOMA PUEBLO – Karl Shroulote, Sr., 41, of Acoma Pueblo pleaded guilty to sexual abuse on the pueblo in December, he was sentenced to five years and eight months in prison on April 5. Shroulote is an enrolled member of the Acoma Pueblo.
