There are times on our Prewitt mesa when we are under inches of snow while the area roads are bare and dry. We sometimes call our nearest neighbor to see if our current thunderstorm is hitting them, and often our weather is completely different. Weather can be hyper-local with rapid changes.

Thoreau Man Charged with Assault

THOREAU, NM – Thoreau man Gerrick Mariano made an initial appearance in federal court after a criminal complaint was levied against him. The complaint charges Mariano with assault resulting in serious bodily injury on the Navajo Nation for an assault that allegedly took place in August 2022.
