CROWNPOINT, NM – On February 10, 2023, Navajo Technical University received its first Hybrid Vehicle, a Toyota Prius C. The Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive system automatically switches between electric and conventional engine power thanks to fuel-saving technology.
Thanks to dedicated Cibola residents who work at the Grants branch of New Mexico State University, students are less likely to go hungry. This project, called the Aggie Cupboard, aims to help students find a meal and other essentials so they can continue their studies without worrying about their food security situation. GRANTS, NM – Strategically located in one of the two studentbuilt homes on the NMSU Grants campus is the Aggie Cupboard, a free food pantry for the entire NMSU Grants community, including students, faculty, and staff.

Grants Fire was dispatched to the 85 MM for a motor vehicle accident involving semis that went head on. Upon arrival personnel found three Semis and one Car involved in the accident. Grants Fire did extrication on one patient from the car involved.

Fire on Lobo Canyon

GRANTS, N.M. – Grants Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a small fire burning outside the Lobo Canyon Fire Department on February 19. The blaze was quickly extinguished by firefighting crews. A small shed caught fire behind the volunteer fire department which had no volunteers at the time.
