Drug Recognition Expert Training DRE Training Pays Off in Milan

MILAN, N.M. – Law enforcement agencies across New Mexico gathered at Grants High School on February 22 to undergo Drug Recognition Expert Training, on Feb. 23 Milan Police Department put that training to use and apprehended a suspect based off the techniques taught at this training.

Event of the Year

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – Celebrating Cibola County’s event of the year, the Grants Cibola-County community enjoyed a successful 2022 Chamber Banquet. Award winners Awards were won by a popular vote from members of the community. Ballots are sent out to chamber members, who then distribute them.

2022 Municipal Election Results

On March 1 the City of Grants and Village of Milan held their municipal elections to choose a mayor and two new members of their governing body. The City of Grants also elected a new municipal judge.

Miss Ja'Jianae has been an outstanding student here at Laguna-Acoma. She has worked very hard and has taken advantage of all the extra credit opportunities in Ms. Seneca Riley's class. Currently, she has a 101% (A+) in Independent Research.

Fatal crash outside Prewitt

PREWITT, N.M. – Killing one, the rollover of a semi-truck on Interstate 40 outside of Prewitt, New Mexico in the early morning of February 22 is being investigated by the New Mexico State Police. Around 5:15 a.m.
