Sexual Abuse on Navajo Nation

NAVAJO NATION – Shiprock man Bryan Bull was sentenced to 14 years in a federal prison for the aggravated sexual abuse of a 14-year-old boy in Shiprock, New Mexico. The abuse took place on the Navajo Nation on June 3, 2019, according to the United States Department of Justice.

Crownpoint man Indicted

Diego Lopez, Reporter NAVAJO NATION, N.M. – Crownpoint man Wade Dixon has been indicted for sexual abuse of a minor on the Navajo Nation. Dixon was arraigned in a federal court for this sexual abuse charge on March 11.

The Cibola County Board of Commissioners held a regular commission meeting on Thursday, March 24, at 5:00 p.m. All commissioners were present in the Cibola County Commission Chambers, and the agenda was approved as presented after the pledge of allegiance and a prayer.

John Brooks Supermarkets Announces Death of Legendary Founder

ALBUQUERQUE, NM – John H. Brooks, founder of John Brooks Supermarkets, died unexpectedly over the weekend at the age of 82. Currently, there are five John Brooks Supermarkets throughout New Mexico (Albuquerque, Milan, Ruidoso, Santa Fe and Socorro) providing jobs for 200 New Mexicans.

Fatal Car Accident in Milan

MILAN, N.M. – A wrong-way driver on Route 66 in the Village of Milan crashed into a local resident, totaling the victim’s vehicle and sending her to the hospital. The wrong-way driver was declared deceased on the scene, his name will be released as the investigation continues.

Missing and Endangered Grants Boy Located

GRANTS, N.M. – In the early morning of March 28, Paul Samuel Martinez, a juvenile from Grants, New Mexico, was reported missing by the New Mexico State Police. He was located almost 11 hours after by NMSP was released, according to a press release, he was found safe.
