Pirates 2-1,Set to Play Tougher Games

GRANTS, N.M. - The Grants High School Boys Basketball Team is starting out their season 2-1, and their next two games will test the young Pirates.“Our guys are ready for it,” said Grants High School Head Boys’ Basketball Coach Landon Chavez about his next “tough” games against St.

Lady Pirates Coming Together

GRANTS, N.M. - The Grants High School Lady Pirate Basketball teams are 1-3 however, their record is a bit deceiving as they have lost two games by a total of three points.` On December 1 they lost to St. Michaels by a score of 50-48.Then on December 4 they lost to Bernalillo 57-56.

BLUEWATER LAKE, N.M. – Early December brought a quiet week to Bluewater Lake, with no new angler reports received and cold weather settling over the shoreline.The most recent fishing update continues to be the Nov. 6 observation, when catfish were biting SLOW to FAIR on chicken liver near the dam.
