This week's Athlete of the Week is senior Dominick Gonzales of the Grants High School baseball team who led the Pirates in RBI's with eight against Aztec at a recent tournament and a combined eight against Kirtland Central in a recent double header.
The Pirates went 2-1 at the Farmington Invite and are currently 5-4 and ranked 11th in the 4A baseball rankings and third in the New Mexico Overtime Sports coaches poll. Baseball goes 2-1 at Farmington Invite

The “Boys of Summer” finally has some good weather to play in. As we know, Spring in New Mexico can be more like Winter. The Grants High School Baseball team played last week in the northwest at the Farmington Invite and defeated two teams and lost to one team.

This week’s athletes of the week are the Grants High School junior varsity softball team who took first at a recent tournament they hosted.
The Lady Hawks made it to the quarterfinals at the Rio Rancho Events Center last week and lost to Tatum 58-38 on March 11th. The lady Hawks ended the season 22-8, 9-1 Franklin Romero - CC

Lady Hawks Run Ends at Quarterfinals

Hawks! Hawks! The Lady Hawks of Laguna-Acoma made it to the quarterfinals in Nusenda girls 2A state basketball tournament and were defeated by Tatum 58-38 at the Rio Rancho Events Center last week in that quarterfinal game.
