Pirates a 7 Seed, Play St. Theresa in State Tournament

The Pirates baseball team received a 7 seed in the Nusenda 4A state baseball tournament and will host St. Teresa this Friday (6pm) and Saturday (11am and 1pm as needed).“We are definitely expecting a tough match up,” said Grants High School baseball head coach Mike Furbee.

Trout Still Active as Bluewater Lake Levels DropTrout fishing remains steady at Bluewater Lake, though lake levels continue their seasonal decline heading into May. Anglers reported good action throughout the past week, with PowerBait, Kastmasters, and Rapalas producing solid results.

Los Alamitos Track Runner Runs his Best PR in the 1600-Meter Run

Nathaniel Saltclah a 8th grader at Los Alamitos Middle School ran his best PR in the 1600 meters at Crownpoint Middle School track meet yesterday. Nathaniel ran a 5:02 and hoping to run a sub 5 minute mile, his first meet in March, Nathaniel ran a 5:23.
