GALLUP, N.M. - The New Mexico Outdoor Recreation Division, a division of the Economic Development Department, awarded Gallup-based non-profit Silver Stallion $10,000 to create a Mobile Ride Center to fix the bikes of youth in the Navajo Nation who have been struggling under the COVID-19 Health Emergency Orders, EDD Cabinet Secretary Alicia J. Recycling Coalition receives USDA Solid Waste Management grant Waste reduction through sustainable materials management

NEW MEXICO - The New Mexico Recycling Coalition was awarded $88,000 from USDA as part of a competitive grant process through the Rural Utilities Services. The funding supports efforts to divert material from landfills within the state’s smallest communities, populations of10,000 residents or less. This will be accomplished through the establishment of reuse centers, backyard compost trainings, repair clinics, and zero waste activities.
