Aerron W. Barron (AW) (ACE) 80 years old of Grants passed away on Friday April 2, 2021. AW was born in Carrizozo New Mexico, to Clara Bell and James Wesley Barron on March 8, 1941. He was well known to many as a Rancher/Cowboy.

Aaron Jimenez Sr.

Aaron Jimenez Sr. was born in Portales, New Mexico on September 13, 1982. He passed away unexpectedly after a short illness on April 4, 2021. Aaron was born and raised in Hobbs, New Mexico but made a life in Grants, New Mexico. Aaron was a loving father, son, brother, and uncle.

Joe M. Sanchez

Joe M. Sanchez, age 62, born to Eduardo and Melba Sanchez in Albuquerque and resident of Grants, New Mexico, passed away on March 23, 2021. Joe enjoyed a career as a certified appliance repair technician in the Albuquerque and Denver metro for many years.

Josephine "Jo" Marie Friedt

Josephine was born on October 28, 1937 in Regent, North Dakota and she went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2021 in Grants, New Mexico. A rosary and funeral service will be held on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Dustin “Dusty” Nichols

On Friday, March 26, Dustin “Dusty” Nichols passed away. Dusty was born on September 18, 1979 in Durango, Colorado. He grew up in the Grants/Milan area with his parents, Mark and Beverley Nichols.

Bill Russell

Bill Russell passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at his home, after a long illness.. He was born on March 18, 1955 in Logan, West Virginia. Bill is survived by his brother Carl and daughter McKenzie. Services will be held at a later date.

Mary Ellen Ward

Mary Ellen Ward was a kind and caring mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 11, 2021, due to heart complications. Per Mary’s wish, she was cremated and will be resting with her late husband Joe V.

Martin O. Chavez
