Independence Day weekend arrests

GRANTS, N.M. – While America was celebrating Independence Day, the law enforcement across Cibola County spent the long holiday weekend bringing down criminals and keeping the roadways safe.

Big plans in store for Riverwalk development

GRANTS N.M. — The City of Grants and Councilman Erik Garcia have big plans for the Riverwalk and surrounding areas. Garcia and City of Grants crews already put these plans in motion a few months ago, making what Garcia calls “baby steps” towards growth in Grants.

Grants Fire and Rescue, Milan Fire Department, and the Cibola County Fire Command arrived at the site of a crash down Mount Taylor in the morning of July 5. No fatalities were reported, alcohol and high speeds are suspected as factors in the crash. Responders arrived on scene around 7:40 a.m.

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – Former US Representative Xochitl Torres Small (D – NM), Cibola’s past delegate to Washington D.C., has been tapped by President Joe Biden to serve in in the Department of Agriculture as Under Secretary for Rural Development.

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – Drug searches and seizures are not an uncommon occurrence throughout Cibola County, which boasts Interstate 40, a road better known as the Drug Corridor.

A man with many hats

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – Cibola County Emergency Manager Dustin Middleton has lived in Cibola County since October of 2012 and has been the emergency manager since September of 2015. Middleton has an extensive background in emergency service, particularly in the fire service.
