Penstemon—Figwort Family

There are 47 species and subspecies of Penstemon native to New Mexico. There are dwarf spreading ground cover plants and ones with flower stalks reaching five feet tall. A number of them are easy to grow and all are drought tolerant. All penstemons attract pollinators and hummingbirds.
