Laila Martinez, a junior, on the Grants High School Track and Field team. Laila placed first in the 800-meters with a time of 2:13.65 and placed second in the 1600-meters with a time of 5:06.55 at the Nusenda Credit Union's 2025 4A State Track and Field Championship held this past weekend.

There is a cliché, “Basketball never Stops,” but for one Grants High School Senior, John “JJ” Horacek, basketball will not be stopping anytime soon as he has signed his letter of intent to play basketball with Benedictine University out of Mesa, Arizona.
