The Grants High School baseball team received a second seed to the 4A state baseball tournament and will host the 16th seeded Portales Rams (12-11, 3-6) this weekend in a best of three games series. A spectacular season continues for the GHS baseball team as they received a second seed in the 4A state baseball tournament and will host the Portales Rams (12-11,3-6) who received the 16th seed.

Christian Nava Reinjures ACL, Will Miss 2024 Season

New Mexico United is devastated to report that Cristian Nava has suffered a reinjury to his ACL. Nava will undergo surgery to repair the injury, is expecting a recovery of about eight months, and will miss the 2024 season.

District rival, the Highland Hornets, played the Pirates on Tuesday, April 26 and felt the full potential of the number two ranked baseball team in the state.The Grants High School Pirates swept the Hornets 16-0.“I thought it went as expected,” said GHS head coach Mike Furebee.
