Dear editor, Sad to hear about the recent passing of another former policeman Mr. Bill Johnson who was a former Chief of Police of Grants, and Acoma. Bill started his own investigator company in Albuquerque for many years and was a good man.

My mother has a pet squirrel named Stubby. He is not, technically, her pet, as he lives outdoors as a wild squirrel.

Although everyone thinks Valentine’s Day started off romantic, it did not. The origin of Valentine’s Day is unclear, but what is thought to be the origin started in Rome. It was possibly in the third century, Saint Valentine, along with another man preached on the streets.

When the alarm went off, I was curled up under the covers nice and warm but my nose was cold. That meant that it was really cold outside and I'd have to shovel a path to the truck, clean off the snow and ice, and warm it up for 10 minutes before leaving.
