GRANTS, N.M. - The Grants Community Pantry has adjusted in the face of COVID-19 and is continuing to assist the community one food contribution at a time. Although operations have changed – that clients can no longer come into the building to pick up their food – the pantry is still busier than ever. Various circumstances caused by the COVID-19 situation have led to a great need of food for the families of Cibola County. According to the Community Pantry Executive Director Alice Perez, “Since March 17, approximately 475 families have been added to the distribution of over 1,000 existing families.”
GRANTS, N.M. - Ruth Hambright has been an educator for 46 years as a special needs teacher. Hambright began her long career in Cuba, New Mexico where she worked for two years before moving into the Grants/Cibola County School District where she has worked ever since.
