Despite February marking the 56th wettest month on record, the drought situation has remained relatively unchanged since January, prompting heightened concerns over fire risks in the region.

Help Stop the Theft of Newspapers

After an audit of last week’s newspaper sales, the Cibola Citizen was able to determine that, on average, over $200 of newspapers are stolen from our machines every week. Because of this rampant theft, we are in the process of removing our newspaper machines and having the newspapers sold inside stores. We do not want to restrict access to the public’s news but are being forced to take these measures as we are experiencing massive financial hits from the rampant theft.
