President Joe Biden announced on Wednesday that the U.S. Department of Commerce and Intel Corporation have reached a non-binding preliminary memorandum of terms (PMT) to provide up to $8.5 billion in direct funding, under the CHIPS and Science Act, to strengthen the U.S. supply chain and re-establish American leadership in semiconductor manufacturing.

Friday, April 5 April Astronomy Month El Malpais National Monument Stargazing at Sandstone Bluffs from 8:30pm - 9:30 pm. Come out to Sandstone Bluffs for a constellation tour, stories, and deep sky viewing through a telescope. Sandstone Bluffs is located off of Highway 117, about 18 miles from Grants. All programs are free of charge and do not require reservations. Dress warmly, wear sturdy shoes, and bring a flashlight or headlamp with a red light setting if possible. All outdoor programs are weather dependent.

The Grants Rotary Club held a Pints for Polio event at the Junkyard Brewery on March 16. The Rotary club raised $195 by selling rotary cups that individuals could use for beer pints.
