Fighting for the First Amendment Dear editor, The mission of the New Mexico Foundation of Open Government (NMFOG) includes advocating, educating and litigating to help New Mexicans vindicate their rights under the First Amendment to the Constitution. Freedom of the press is one of the hallmarks of American democracy and enshrined as one of the five freedoms in the First Amendment – freedom of press, freedom of assembly, freedom of petition, freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

Hard Work Keeps Grants Clean Dear editor, I believe our prayers have been answered and the rains have brought our County and State the moisture it has been needing for years. But with those rains have come the weeds and the mosquitos! The City of Grants and the Village of Milan have been working hard to abate both of these issues.
