Dear editor, The first wave of European settlers to the New World were fleeing the domination of the Church that repressed the right to worship as they saw fit. As a nation formed around this idea of “separation” from mandates about how to live one’s life, it was deemed necessary to codify this idea into law.

I am very familiar with Buffalo, New York. I knew that Tops grocery store that was the scene of a mass shooting this last weekend. I would go to get basic groceries like bread, sandwich meat, and sometimes spirits.
