Pizza 9 hosts music night

Body
Pizza 9-Grants customers enjoy food, beverages, and live music on a Saturday night, June 12, 2021. The live performance started at 7 p.m. and was set to end at 10 p.m. The band featured is located out of Albuquerque, New Mexico. As a three-member band — as they appeared at Pizza 9-Grants — they are known as Uncleholic, but when they are in full form, they are known as Loaded. The live performance was open to people of all ages, no cover charge was included, and seating was done on a first comefirst serve basis. According to Pizza 9-Grants associate Melanie Taylor, the band once performed at the old Outlaws bar, so they decided to give it a try at Pizza 9-Grants to see how it would go. The event had a good turnout, and locals should stay tuned for similar upcoming Pizza 9-Grants events on their Facebook page. Kylie Garcia - CC

First Street construction

Body
The northern section of First Street is completely closed to traffic while crews completely rebuild this main traffic artery in Grants. New infrastructure, such as water, sewer and drainage pipes are being installed before the curb and gutter, sidewalks and paving will be done. According to Grants Special Projects Manager Donald Jaramillo, the work on First Street is on schedule and the early indications are that the project could come in under budget which would allow for the addition of lighting during this construction phase. However, Jaramillo said its still to early to know if the project will endure unknown issues. The project is slated to be completed by the end of 2021. Scott Ford - CC

Southwest Yard & Garden; Nectarine sap exudate from tiny holes in peel created bizarre formation

Body
Question: What’s the deal with these clear, stiff, noodle-like formations on my nectarines? Have you ever seen anything like this? Answer: Wow, I have never seen anything like this before! I shared your strange photos with several experts from around the state. All agree that the images show extremely rare, spiraling strands of hardened nectarine sap, but there’s no real cause for alarm or recommended action.
