The Grants High School football team is steaming through its opposition as another team falls to the powerful Pirate juggernaut.The Pirates traveled to Aztec on September 27 and easily handed the Tigers their fifth loss of the season.

BLUEWATER LAKE, N.M. – After several quiet weeks at Bluewater Lake, things came back to life on September 20 when Jeremy Pitts landed a 37-inch tiger muskie using a jointed minnow lure. “Fishing has been very slow for a few weeks,” he said, “so I was extremely happy for this one.

Bluewater and Rio San Jose Data as of September 29, 2025 CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. – This report seeks to track the flow of water in Cibola County. Bluewater Lake and the Rio San Jose both have United States Geological Survey monitoring stations where this data is pulled from.

GRANTS, N.M. Homecoming was all Pirates: Grants raced to a 47–0 halftime lead and routed Kirtland Central 66–14, powered by senior Quarterback Tristin Fernandez’s 350 passing yards and three touchdown grabs from Cardenio Chavez, improving to 4–1 while the Broncos fell to 1–4.
