LAGUNA, N.M. - On September 12, a New Mexico State Police officer was shot while initiating a traffic stop outside of Laguna on Interstate 40. The victim, identified by NMSP as Officer Sharron Duran, was also working as a Federal Task Force Officer for the Federal Bureau of Investigation m Albuquerque, N.M.

CIBOLA COUNTY, N .M. - A devastating fire before the Christmas holiday left Cibola County resident Don Rogers without a home. Rogers served two tours in the Vietnam Cont1ict and describes himself as a "busy body" because he is always building things. Rogers said that he has not been the same since he left military service.

Vaccine rollout going well

CIBOLA COUNTY, N.M. - Cibola County's fight against COVID-19 continues to rage, but the tides are starting to turn. Approximately 500 vaccinations have been given out to combat the corona virus. Of the two approved vaccines, both require two doses of shots within a few weeks of each other.

District loses enrollment
