Cibola Arts Council Continues Director Search

Body
GRANTS, NM – The Cibola Arts Council, headquartered in the Double Six Gallery, has been searching for an executive director since last September when Robert Gallegos left the job due to illness. The non-profit art organization that is dedicated to providing local citizens, especially young people, with art experiences and promoting local artists, is in need of a skilled individual with shared values to take the helm and guide this organization so that more program offerings can be developed and complement the programming that already exists. “I’d love to see a local artist take over,” Lezlie Smith said. Smith, who does everything from bookkeeping to assisting with the art camps for kids that happen every other week, added, “We’re okay, but we also need a functioning board of directors.”
