Dear Editor I was heartbroken to learn of the passing of Becky (Barber) Trefren, former editor of the Grants Daily Beacon in Grants. She was also on staff at the Annapolis Capital newspaper in Maryland and served in public relations for the Port of Baltimore.

I began noticing trouble sleeping around freshman year of high school. I began staying up later and later at night. Around my junior year I began to have even bigger issues with my sleeping patterns. I began struggling with insomnia, I would typically stay up to around 3 a.m.

I had a discouraging day yesterday.I don’t expect anyone to keep track—heck, I can’t keep track half the time. But I got another rejection of my book from another editor with another publishing house.I’ve read the stories of how long it has taken well-known authors to sell their first novel.
