As days and years go by us older folk must shift gears so to speak – I’ve listed a few ways I’ve shifted gears. Maybe you experienced the same things – I invite you to spend a couple of minutes here in the Cibola Citizen.
It was not immediately clear who started the brawl. That’s the truth - and as I sit here typing, I’m still not entirely sure about what happened. Rumors can be nasty, but I look forward to reading the report from Grants Police Department on the Feb. 24 incident.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Grants High School Pirate wrestling team won some major accolades at the state tournament this year. This Pirate wrestling team produced one state champion in the form of Tristian Martinez who managed to defeat her opponent by a pin.
GRANTS, N.M. – The Grants High School Pirate basketball team recently picked up some very big wins. The wins allowed the Pirate boys to take third place in the 4A District 5 final standings with a record of 5-3. Los Lunas finished on top of the district with a 7-1 mark, their lone loss coming against the Pirates and Valencia finished second with a 5-3 mark but got the tie breaker over Grants. The district tournament which started on Tuesday for the Pirates when they hosted the St. Pius X Sartans. (Scores were not available by press time.)
