Dear editor, What a wonderful 4th of July Celebration this year! Rodeo, barbeques, lots of events in our City Parks, and a wonderful 4th of July Parade! Not to mention the spectacular fireworks display going on at the golf course that evening!

July 2nd, 1776, 12 out of the 13 colonies had approved the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. It was on July 4th, when it was officially adopted. Some of the Americans began celebrating that year, while others waited till the next year.
