With recent warm weather in New Mexico, anglers should take extra precautions before stepping out onto frozen lakes as the ice becomes weaker.This winter, warmer temperatures led to a delay in lakes freezing. It was only recently that many lakes across the state became fully frozen.

The Pirates split this past weekend and went 11 after losing in another game that went into overtime.The Valencia Jaguars, whom the Pirates defeated 51-38 at home on January 21, were three-points better than the Pirates on the road this past Friday.

GHS Track Competes at Cherry and Silver Meet

The Grants High School Boys and Girls Westling Team participated in the third annual Sartan Scuffle Invite at Bernalillo High School last week.The Pirate Girls team placed 13th out of 28 schools who participated.The Pirate Boys placed 22nd out of 30 teams.
