On Friday night the winners were Darrell Taylor with a clean sweep in the Hobby stock division RC Combs took the stock car main and Rob Moseley ran double duty to clean sweep the X-mod and A-Mod division on Saturday night the hobby stock winner was Roy Meeks , the Street stock main belonged to Rick Boelter ,the Stock car main was all RC Combs the X mod main was won by Scotty Morlang and the A mod main was won by Chris Morlang rounding up our 2021 Fall Frenzy show was two days of action packed racing paying out over $4000.00 in prize money and division points.

Pirates drubbed by Bobcats, 52-0

The Pirates had an injury laden game which made the contest more challenging, as they lost to the second ranked Bloomfield Bobcats 52-0 in a home game last Friday. “We had a couple of key injuries that led to younger, more inexperienced athletes seeing the field,” said GHS Head Football Coach Brandon Hernandez after Friday’s loss.

Capital Jags pounce on Pirates

The Pirates, despite scoring first, lost their season opener against the 5-A Capital Jaguars, 55-20. “There is a lot of good that came from this Capital game,” said GHS Head Coach Brandon Hernandez. “Obviously we have a lot to clean up; however, we competed to the very end.”

Officer Spotlight: Josh Pacheco; Giving back to the community

VILLAGE OF MILAN, N.M. – Officer Joshua Pacheco of the Milan Police Department is not only an officer, but also a coach at Grants High School for the Pirate football team. Pacheco, who grew up in the Village of Milan, decided that he needed to give back to his community and decided that he could best give back by helping the youth.
