Darryn J. Ward, born December 11, 1980 in Gallup, NM, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 in Belen, NM.

Jose “Joe” Luis Hernandez Jr. passed away on July 1, 2021 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Vera Garcia passed away on July 5, 2021 at her home in Grants, New Mexico surrounded by her loving family. She was 88 years of age. Mrs. Garcia was born on September 20, 1932 in Aspermont, Texas. Services will be held at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, on Monday July 12, 2021, a public visitation will begin at 6 pm, at 7 pm a Rosary Vigil will be led by Henry Montoya Sr. and Geraldine Vallejos. On Tuesday July 13, 2021 at 10 am a Mass will be celebrated. Interment will follow at Grants Memorial Park.

Erminia Jaramillo, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, with members of her family by her side, on June 11, 2021. Rosary and Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 9 at 9:30 am in St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. The burial will be on Friday June 9 at 11:30 a.m. at the Grants Memorial Park.

Betty Hall entered fully into the presence of her Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Betty passed away peacefully in Carthage, Missouri following a long illness. She was 78. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2021, 11:00 a.m., at Temple of Peace Church, 610 Valencia Ave, Milan, NM 87021. She will be laid to rest at Grants Memorial Park Cemetery in a private ceremony.

Andronico “Andy” Jose Alires, 91, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great great-grandfather and Korean War Veteran, passed away surrounded by his family on April 13, 2021.

Reverend Glenn Wesley Butler, 72, of Grants, New Mexico, passed away on June 15. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on June 30 at The Way, Truth, and Life Ministries at 700 Sakelares Blvd. Internment will be Gallup Veteran’s Cemetery, 333 National Cemetery Dr. in Gallup, following the services.

Janene Pena passed away on June 25, 2021at the age of 62 years old. Services will be held at St Teresa of Avila Catholic church in Grants at lpm on Wednesday June 30.

Maria Flora Lucero Emerson entered into eternal life on June 26. She died peacefully at her home in Grants, surrounded by her family, after handling her Parkinson’s disease with grace for many years. Flora spent over 70 years in prayer and service at St. Teresa de Avila church in Grants, where her Memorial Rosary and Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday July 1, 2021 beginning at 9:30 am, with Father John Paul Sauter officiating. Burial of the cremated remains will follow at Grants Memorial Park.
