Albert Joseph Chavez, 51, of Grants, New Mexico, passed away on May 25, 2021, after an 11-year battle with liver failure. Albert was born on June 5, 1969, to Senovio and Millie Chavez in Springerville, Arizona.

Mildred Mary Welsch, 96, passed away May 77,202L at Avamere Independent Living in Rio Rancho, NM. Mildred was born in Dover, Ohio to Henry Schilling and Ethel Hess Schilling on December 29, 1924.

Barbara Hahn left our world on the May 10. She died peacefully at Cibola County General.

Funeral arrangements have been made for Mary Ellen Ward and will be held at San Rafael Catholic Church, 100 Guadalupe Plaza, San Rafael, NM Friday June 11th with rosary starting at 9:30am followed by Mass.

Flora was born in Cubero, New Mexico to Adelino (Lelo) Chavez - Ruby Ann Galindo Chavez in her grandma's house, she went to school in Cubero, N.M., Grants, N.M. and Washington. Moving from place to place her home has always been Cubero and Grants area. She passed away in Grants on November 25, 2020.

Jennie Ann Van Weart left the family she loved so much and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 30, 2021. She died peacefully in her home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Rosemarie was a beloved Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Nana. She was born on March 13, 1939 in Grants, New Mexico to Eulalio and Perfilia McBride. Her life revolved around the love of her life Joseph and the family they built together during their 62 years of marriage. She retired from Continental Divide Electric Company. Throughout her life she enjoyed painting, race walking, golf, gardening, and anything that involved the grandkids. She was a longtime member of the Lobo Club and a proud fan of Pirate and Eagle Basketball. Rosemarie was a devout Catholic and lived a life led by faith. Her presence always lit up the room and made everyone feel special. She was Nana not only to her babies but to everyone that knew her. Her loving heart will be missed by many. Erling Knutson, 86, of Grants, NM, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday May 12, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Betty, nee Weldon, loving father of Norman (Gaynelle) Knutson, the late Arthur Knutson (Shelley), Brian (Kathy) Knutson and Mark (Sara Cummings) Knutson; Proud Grandfather of Shannon, Devin, Erik, Jessica, Cameron, Lorelei, Amanda and Abby; Proud Great Grandfather of Frances, Xavier Garcia and Olivia. Dearest brother of the late Carl (Barbara) Knutson, and the late Paul Knutson.
