The following was drafted immediately after the early August town hall meeting. This is a plea for clarity and civility. Several times I've changed my thinking about the lien payment for the community pantry because I received new information.

It’s on the Council Dear editor, I’ve been absent from writing to you for at least the last two years in hopes that the city leaders have calmed down. It has for the most part, not so dramatic with a storm of chaos with the previous mayor, it’s relatively calm.

I want to share the order of events for the Food Pantry, a project that the City Council has been in full support of since I was elected. Alice Perez, Director for the Grants and Gallup pantries, wrote a grant for 1.8 million dollars and was awarded this grant funding by the State of New Mexico.
